Subject Description
Organization at KTH constitutes a central part of the subject area Industrial Economics, with a specific connection to the specialization in Business Administration (Industrial Management). The subject covers the planning, control, and development of project-based working methods in organizations, focusing on how organizations organize, lead, and execute projects and programs to efficiently manage resources, schedules, risks, and dependencies.
Responsibilities
- Teaching at the undergraduate level, with a main focus on courses ME1045, ME1046, and ME1306, including lectures, exercises, and seminars.
- Course responsibility, development, and pedagogical renewal of the aforementioned courses and related foundational courses, including updating course materials, case studies, and digital learning resources.
- Examination at the undergraduate level, such as grading exams, assessing written assignments, and participating in oral examinations.
- Supervisor for bachelor's theses (KEX) within operations management and related areas.
- Administrative support.
Qualifications
To be eligible for employment as an Associate Professor (Adjunkt), the candidate must have:
- A completed degree at the first-cycle or second-cycle level within the subject area for the employment, or equivalent competence.
- Professional skills that are significant with regard to the subject content and tasks of the employment.
- Demonstrated pedagogical skills.
Evaluation Criteria
The evaluation criteria for employment as an Associate Professor at KTH are specified in Section 1.5 of KTH's Employment Regulations in relation to the established employment profile.
It is of highest importance that the applicant has
- Pedagogical skills. The assessment of pedagogical skills also includes the person's ability to develop as a teacher in the long term.
- Subject-specific competence relevant to the content of the employment.
It is of second highest importance that the applicant has
- Professional competence relevant to the content of the employment.
- Professional experience outside higher education.
It is also of importance that the applicant has
- Competence regarding research and development work within the field.
- Administrative competence.
- University-level pedagogical education.
- Ability to collaborate with the surrounding society.
- Ability to develop and lead operations and personnel, as well as collaboration skills. This includes knowledge of diversity and equal treatment issues with a special focus on gender equality.
