Birger Jarls Gymnasium is growing, and we are therefore looking for skilled and experienced high school teachers in various subjects.

About the Positions

We are looking for the following:

• Teacher at 85% in Spanish and Swedish as a Second Language
• Teacher at 100% in legal subjects and criminology

About the Role

As a teacher at Birger Jarls Gymnasium, you will be part of a close-knit team of teachers across different subjects, and you are therefore expected to be cooperative and considerate towards your colleagues.

Birger Jarls Gymnasium aims to be a safe and welcoming place for our students, and as a teacher, you are expected to treat both students and staff professionally, delivering quality in every lesson.

You are passionate about your role as a teacher and your subject(s), and it is of great importance to you to inspire your students and support them in reaching their goals.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are certified and qualified in the subject combinations specified. We would appreciate it if you have approximately 2–3 years of professional experience; previous experience working at a high school is also a merit.

The role includes shared mentoring responsibilities for a class together with another teacher.

For courses involving national tests, you are expected to have experience in handling and administration regarding these tests (NP).

Otherwise, the role includes standard administrative tasks such as documentation, student follow-up, contact with guardians, etc.

We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.

About the School:

Birger Jarls Gymnasium in Stockholm started in the autumn of 2018. The school currently has just over 200 students.

The school offers two university-preparatory programs:

• The Economics Programme with specializations in economics and law.
• The Social Sciences Programme with specializations in social sciences and behavioral sciences.
