About our open position

As a nurse with us, you primarily work with stabilizing support measures. This can be achieved in various ways, through individual contacts or through collaboration with other agencies, the municipality, the Swedish Public Employment Service, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, etc. You will sometimes have the role of care coordinator. Furthermore, you collaborate with doctors and other nurses regarding medication issues. You will also serve as a contact person for individual patients and have regular individual conversations focused on supporting them based on jointly set goals. You may also accompany patients to various meetings.

As a nurse on our unit, you will collaborate with colleagues on our unit, the psychiatric outpatient clinics within the Psychiatry Business Area at SÄS, the adult psychiatric inpatient care, and other actors. Home visits may occur, so it is desirable that you have a driver's license.

The clinic has a special nursing group of which you will be a part. The group holds its own meetings where work with specific nursing tasks is planned together. Together with other staff, the nursing group assists with acute cases and assessments, supports other professional categories in care and medical questions, ensures the clinic considers health and the whole person, and assists with medication distribution, telephone advice, follow-up of medications, and metabolic risk factors, among other things.

Working hours are during the day. Employment degree between 80% - 100% is negotiable according to agreement.

About us

The Personality Disorder Psychiatric Outpatient Clinic is a specialized unit for personality disorders. We also have investigation assignments and share responsibility for OCD patients.

Our catchment area consists of Borås, Bollebygd, Tranemo, Svenljunga, Ulricehamn, Herrljunga, and Vårgårda. The clinic is located in Borås. We have the ambition to be leaders regionally and nationally when it comes to the development of specialized care and treatment for these target groups. Currently, we have a DBT team (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), an MBT team (Mentalization-Based Therapy), and a psychosocial care team where you, as a nurse, will be included.

Your profile

We are primarily looking for you who have Swedish registration as a nurse with specialist training in psychiatry and an interest in the clinic's target groups. Do you not have specialist training but are a registered nurse with professional experience and think the work here sounds exciting? Then do not hesitate to apply anyway; the clinic has good training and further education opportunities. Meritorious for the position is if you have a B-driver's license since home visits may occur. We place great emphasis on personal suitability as well as that you are responsible and have good collaboration skills. Diversity and equality are considered in the selection process.
