"Working at MAVA/MOA is very stimulating as we work with a variety of patient groups. No two days are alike, as both the pace and tasks vary. As a new nurse, I started working at MAVA, but my goal was to also work at MOA, where the sickest patients at Motala Hospital (LiM) are cared for. The department offers numerous training courses, which has enabled me to acquire the competence required to work at MOA. Our daily work is team-based, which has provided a great sense of security. We work according to a preference schedule, meaning I can request my working days 10–12 weeks in advance."

- one of your future colleagues on what it is like to work at MAVA/MOA at LiM

Welcome to a unit with a strong sense of community! Here, good communication and respectful treatment are a given.

What we offer

At MAVA/MOA, you will meet patients with a wide variety of conditions, but the most common are infections and various types of lung diseases. At MOA, we care for the sickest patients, for example, those with respiratory failure, sepsis, circulatory failure, severe electrolyte disturbances, ketoacidosis, seizures, and more. As a new employee, you always start by working at MAVA, with the possibility of eventually working at MOA if you wish. As a new staff member, you are offered a tailored introductory period depending on your previous experience. The introductory period can vary between 1-3 months, and you will have your own mentor who checks in regularly to provide you with the conditions you need for a secure and good start at your new workplace.

We are keen that your working hours are balanced with the rest of your life, and therefore you have great opportunities to influence your schedule. We also offer the option to work according to the 90/10 work model, which means a weekly working time of 34 hours and 25 minutes instead of 38 hours and 15 minutes. This gives you four extra hours for hobbies and recovery each week.
