Ottobock Care on Fosievägen in Malmö is housed in bright, modern premises specially adapted for our operations. We are approximately 35 employees working with all types of orthopedic technical aids, from shoes & inserts to prostheses & orthoses, as well as molded seats. We are leaders in Sweden in the use of digital manufacturing of orthopedic technical aids, and in addition, we have an experienced team of orthopedic technicians which also enables in-house manufacturing. We work on behalf of Region Skåne, where we, among other things, work in interdisciplinary teams together with healthcare staff. We have employees with specialized expertise in several different areas, and regardless of experience level, we always value knowledge exchange, and there is always someone to ask if you need help.

About the Role

As a Certified Orthotist & Prosthetist, your main task will be patient consultations and fitting of various types of orthopedic technical aids. Your role includes collaborating with other healthcare staff within the region, and you will also participate in our on-call service in relation to Skåne University Hospital.

You will work in a dynamic environment characterized by deep knowledge and high professional pride. What We Offer

The position is a permanent full-time employment located in Malmö. Working hours are Monday-Friday 07:45-16:30 with flexibility options. Start date is September 1, 2026, or as agreed. We have a collective agreement, which means you are covered by collective agreement insurances. You are offered a wellness allowance and reduced working hours according to the collective agreement. Travel for work purposes may occur.

About You

Licensure and a degree from the Orthotist & Prosthetist program at Jönköping University College of Health Sciences are required for your application to be considered. An exception applies to you if you are a recent graduate and have not yet received licensure from the National Board of Health and Welfare. Experience working as an orthotist & prosthetist is meritorious in any of the areas: prosthesis, KAFO, adult orthosis, scoliosis, and handmade shoes. You have very good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, and good knowledge of English. You also have good computer skills.

As a person, you take independent responsibility for your tasks, drive your own processes, and ensure they are completed. You plan, organize, and prioritize your work while meeting deadlines. You also speak clearly and engagingly in both individual meetings and larger groups, while being easy to understand and listening actively in conversations with others. In collaboration with others, you contribute knowledge and experience while being receptive and respectful, keeping the group's best interests in mind. Furthermore, you have the ability to show understanding and put yourself in someone else's perspective without taking over the person's feelings.
