Description

As a psychologist in Kungälv's Child and Student Health Services, you have the opportunity to influence children and young people's schooling and future. Your work is varied, developmental, and independent, where you always have close access to other professions and good colleagues.

The Support Unit (Kungälv's central Child and Student Health Services) works on behalf of the municipality's preschools, primary schools, and pedagogical care. The unit consists of two unit managers, school psychologists, counselors, school nurses, speech therapists, special educators with municipality-wide assignments, and the municipality's attendance team. At the Support Unit, we have broad competence and value cross-professional collaboration. With us, you will work with engaged and experienced colleagues and contribute to developing child and student health work. The Support Unit also plays an important role in competence-enhancing measures within preschools and pedagogical care, as well as contributing to increased equality in the municipality.

Responsibilities

As a psychologist focusing on preschools and pedagogical care, you work on behalf of the principal(s) and together with special educators, speech therapists, and your psychology colleague in child health. The work should primarily be preventive and health-promoting in nature according to the School Act, and the work should be carried out primarily at the group and organizational levels. The goal is to create a good environment for children, health, learning, and development, which may involve various types of competence-enhancing measures, consultation/guidance, providing support and advice, and various forms of collaboration, etc.

Qualifications

• Psychology education with psychologist authorization or alternatively a psychology degree prior to PTP (Professional Training Program).
• Experience of working within schools is meritorious.
• Experience of psychological investigation work with children and adolescents is meritorious.
• High level of knowledge in Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Category B driver's license and own car are required.
• Appointments are made on an ongoing basis, so do not wait to apply.

You should have good cooperation skills, good ability to build relationships, and be able to see the whole picture regarding the individual and the situation. The work requires a good ability to work independently, with structure, and flexibility.
