About the Position

We are now looking for an engaged and knowledgeable upper secondary school teacher in programming and applied programming. The position is at least 70%, but may be expanded to full-time depending on other subject qualifications.

We are looking for you with strong subject knowledge and a genuine desire to be an inspirer and guide for our students. At NTI Gymnasiet, we see technology as a creative tool, and we place great emphasis on making teaching relevant and grounded in reality.

About the School

NTI Gymnasiet in Umeå is a cozy, smaller school with four programs (EE, ES, FS, and TE) located in the center of Umeå above Utopia. Here, students learn a great deal about future challenges and how we can handle them using new technology. We have a strong focus on digital technology in all our educational programs and strive to always stay updated, maintaining close cooperation with industries and the local business community. On the Technology program, we also offer a fourth year within software development and game programming.

Who We Are Looking For

We are primarily looking for you who are a trained teacher, qualified to teach programming and applied programming at the upper secondary level, and have experience teaching at this level. We also highly value other relevant post-secondary education and substantial industry experience. You have good pedagogical skills and can inspire and engage students in learning based on their different needs, varying your teaching methods. You have a natural ability to connect with teenagers and are a secure adult who can balance the role of expert with the role of teacher.

You value close collaboration with colleagues and are receptive to others' knowledge, striving to always develop your teaching and participate in collegial learning.
