We are currently looking for an Automation Technician for our client, Ovako. Are you an experienced Automation Technician who thrives in an industrial environment and wants to work close to production with technology crucial for operations? This could be the right opportunity for you.
The role involves ensuring a stable and reliable process and automation environment through installation, maintenance, spare parts management, as well as control and calibration of process-critical instrumentation and automation equipment.
Responsibilities- Responsible for installation, maintenance, and spare parts, as well as control and calibration of process-critical instrumentation.
- Consultation with specialist firms.
- Handling requests for quotations.
- Working on improvements and troubleshooting existing equipment, PLCs, HMIs, control, and drive systems.
- Participate in and drive projects.
- Assist shift electricians on occasional shifts.
Location: Smedjebacken

About YouYou have strong technical competence in electrical and automation fields and thrive in an industrial environment. You are structured, responsible, and solution-oriented, with a focus on operational safety and improvement work. As a person, you are communicative, cooperative, and confident in working both independently and in teams.
Qualifications- Education: 3–4 year upper secondary school with a focus on automation.
- Ability to read and understand English.
- PLC knowledge.
- HMI knowledge.
- Experience in electrical and automation within heavy industry.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
