ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Head Waiter/Manager at Lydmar, you are a central part of the experience for our guests and a natural leader on the floor. Together with the team, you are responsible for the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring that service, atmosphere, and quality always maintain the highest standards.

The role involves operational responsibility where you work closely with both guests and colleagues. You lead the serving team through service, distribute tasks during shifts, and ensure that every detail is perfect — from the initial welcome through the entire guest experience. At Lydmar, service is about personality and presence, where authenticity and feeling are just as important as precision.

You work actively with bookings, guest flow, scheduling, and daily planning, while contributing to creating a work environment where people thrive, develop, and perform together. The pace is sometimes high, so we are looking for someone who is confident in their leadership role, solution-oriented, and accustomed to prioritizing quickly without losing focus on the guest.

Working hours vary and include days, evenings, and weekends.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for the daily operations of the restaurant
  • Oversee bookings and guest flow
  • Lead and support the serving team during service
  • Ensure high quality and personalized service throughout the guest experience
  • Work with scheduling and simpler administrative tasks
  • Introduce, train, and develop employees
  • Collaborate closely with other departments within the hotel
  • Actively contribute to the restaurant's development and profitability
  • Ensure that routines, policies, and working environment standards are followed

We believe you:

  • Are positive, unpretentious, and solution-oriented
  • Have at least 3 years of experience in a similar role within the restaurant or hotel industry
  • Are a confident leader with experience coaching teams in operations
  • Have a good understanding of service, guest relations, and quality
  • Have an interest and knowledge in food and beverage
  • Speak and write Swedish and English fluently
  • Previous experience from international environments is an advantage
  • Sommelier or beverage training is an advantage
