We are a ward with 14 care beds and approximately 30 employees who, together with the clinic, provide internal medicine care around the clock to the population in the western part of the county. Our common focus is to provide emergency healthcare with good patient safety and a welcoming attitude.

Job Description

Here, you will meet patients from all internal medicine areas of inpatient care, but specifically, you will meet patients who have acutely fallen ill or deteriorated in their heart condition. We work in a team with the patient, where our goal is always to offer good care and a welcoming attitude.

In the team on the ward, you have an important role in the responsibility for the patient's nursing care. The work includes, among other things, blood sampling, handling telemetry monitoring, assisting with electrical cardioversions, and other common nursing assistant tasks related to the patient.

Since we believe that a secure work environment and competence are the foundation of safe care, we place great emphasis on induction and training. Our goal is engaged and knowledgeable employees, and therefore we offer interesting side tasks on the ward, study visits to the Cardiology department and the Seldinger Unit in Linköping. We provide both internal and external training and lectures.

About You

You have a nursing assistant degree and professional experience working in a hospital, preferably in emergency or cardiac care. You use your knowledge, skills, and abilities in patient interactions or care situations. Since you work in constant dialogue with patients and colleagues, it is a requirement that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

For this position, we are looking for you who are flexible. Being flexible with us means being able to adapt to the current situation and change focus, which is crucial as unpredictable events occur daily. You also need to have personal maturity as we work with severely ill patients. We work closely together and need good communication to solve the tasks we encounter.

Application and Employment

We are keen that your working hours are balanced with the rest of your life. Therefore, we offer the 90/10 working time model, which means you work 90 percent for a full-time salary. The work also involves rotation between day, night, and evening shifts.
