About the Role
As a Measurement and Waste Technician, you will work on decommissioning projects within nuclear operations. The role is practical and varied, where you, together with the team, are responsible for the safe handling, measurement, and processing of radiological waste. The work takes place in a safety-critical environment with high demands for precision, structure, and collaboration.
In this role, you will among other things:
- Perform radiological measurements and material classification
- Sort, pack, and handle radiological and hazardous waste
- Work with loading, load securing, as well as forklift and crane operation
- Document and ensure that regulatory requirements and safety procedures are followed
- Participate in cutting and dismantling of materials and scrap
- Receive further training and develop within the field
Your Profile
We are looking for someone who has:
- Completed upper secondary education
- Category B driver's license
- Basic computer skills
- Swedish language skills (both spoken and written)
Meritorious:
- Experience from nuclear power
- Crane and forklift licenses

The Position
Employment type: The position begins with a paid radiation protection training. Upon successful completion and approval of the training, a fixed-term employment is applied, with the later possibility of the employment transitioning to permanent. Employment start date by agreement.
Location: Oskarshamn / OKG
Working hours: Daytime
