Jernforsen Energy works with the development and delivery of bioenergy plants to customers in the industrial and energy sectors. The company has been active since 1984 and has since completed over 1,000 installations globally, resulting in broad and deep competence in technology, engineering, and installation.

They now wish to strengthen the team with a project manager who takes overall responsibility for projects, from contract to completed plant. The role involves close collaboration with customers, internal technical resources, as well as external suppliers and contractors, where you ensure that projects are carried out according to the set schedule, budget, and technical requirements.

The position is a direct hire, meaning the recruitment process takes place through Futuria People, but you will be employed directly by the client. All questions regarding the position and recruitment are referred to the responsible recruitment consultant at Futuria.

Jernforsen produces bioenergy plants in the range of approximately 4–35 MW for energy production based on renewable biomass. The plants are adapted for different types of fuels, such as chips, bark, pellets, shavings, and logging residues, even with high moisture content.

Each solution is designed based on the customer's specific needs, which means that the projects usually cover the entire chain, from technical design and engineering to manufacturing, installation, and commissioning.

About the role

In the role of project manager, you lead and coordinate projects from contract signing to final delivery. You have overall responsibility covering both technical and commercial aspects, and act as the customer's primary contact throughout the entire project lifecycle.

You also have overarching responsibility for the company's two existing project managers, where you monitor project progress and report status and results directly to the CEO.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead projects from contract to completed plant
• Act as the customer's main contact through the various phases of the project
• Ensure projects are delivered according to schedule, budget, and technical requirements
• Coordinate internal resources within design, procurement, production, and service
• Coordinate suppliers, contractors, and installation partners
• Monitor project economics and report status to the CEO
• Be responsible for and support the company's two project managers in their projects
• Participate in technical reviews and project meetings with the customer
• Ensure that installation and commissioning take place according to plan

Travel is primarily within the Nordic countries.

We are looking for someone who

• Has experience in project management within industry, energy, process, or large technical installations
• Has experience driving projects with multiple suppliers and contractors
• Has worked with project budgets, contracts, and scheduling
• Has technical understanding within areas such as mechanics, energy, process, or industrial systems
• Has good contract understanding and experience with commercial issues in projects
• Speaks and writes Swedish and English fluently
• Has the possibility to travel for work

Meritorious qualifications

• Experience from bioenergy, boiler systems, or combined heat and power (CHP)
• Experience from district heating, sawmills, or process industry
• Experience with contracting projects
• Experience with international projects
• Has relevant further education, for example in technology or energy
