Västbergaskolan AB is an independent comprehensive school from preschool class to grade 9, as well as a special needs school from preschool class to grade 9, including leisure-time centers and short-term supervision according to the LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments). During the 2023–24 academic year, the school has 760 students, of whom 746 are distributed across 3 classes per grade in the comprehensive school and 15 students in the special needs school.

The school conducts systematic development work, and currently, we are focusing on efficient, meaningful, and varied teaching.
We are looking for you who possess knowledge of, among other things, autism and intellectual disabilities, and have work experience from previous roles within special needs education.
You must be secure and clear in your leadership, have a student perspective that aligns with the school's guiding principles, and have good knowledge of the school's governing documents. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
With great trust in the individual's own abilities, you contribute to the students' opportunities to make a difference for themselves and their surroundings. You are a natural support for the students in their schoolwork and in practical matters. You have the drive to want to develop and contribute to moving the operations forward.

Qualifications
- You have a completed post-secondary education and relevant education and/or experience for the position.
- Previous experience working in a special needs school.
- Education within autism.
- Experience working with AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), e.g., picture and sign support.
- Previous experience with severe behavioral issues.
Previous experience within LSS is an advantage. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
The position requires good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
A certificate of conduct (register extract) is required upon offer of employment within preschool, preschool class, leisure-time center, comprehensive school, special needs school, and other pedagogical activities according to the Education Act (2010:800, Chapter 2, Sections 31–33).
We apply a 6-month probationary period.
Interviews are conducted continuously during the advertisement period.
