About our open position

We are now offering a permanent position as an Optometrist within our eye care department. Are you interested in working daytime hours in a clinic setting and with technical medical equipment? Then this is the job for you!

We are SÄS's largest outpatient clinic with approximately 32,000 patient visits per year. The work here is varied clinical work. You handle short patient meetings with good customer service. As an optometrist here, you will meet patients with various eye diseases of all ages. We work with, among other things, pediatric ophthalmology, medical retina, glaucoma, eye injections, and surgeries. We offer you a job with personal development opportunities within the field.

At the eye clinic, you work with preparatory examinations for doctor's visits, own clinic appointments, and telephone advice. We have many different medical technical machines used for various types of eye examinations, which you as an optometrist will learn to use.

This position is daytime only, holiday-free, Monday to Friday, with working hours 07:30 – 16:30.

About us

The eye clinic is located in Borås and Skene, and in Borås, we also have an eye surgery department. Here, ophthalmic nurses, surgical nurses, general nurses, optometrists, orthoptists, assistant nurses, medical secretaries, healthcare administrative assistants, and doctors work. We have two unit managers and a chief physician. Together, we are around 90 employees.

Your profile

You who are applying are a licensed optometrist and have experience from the profession. We consider it a merit if you have experience from previous clinic work within eye care. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities. You are flexible and can handle variation in both tasks and work pace. You find it easy to collaborate with others and have the ability to positively ensure the work flows smoothly. You also have social skills, which for us means that you enjoy and find it easy to meet colleagues and patients.
