About the job

Sjöbo Gästgiveri has a long tradition of serving food dating back to the mid-1600s and is currently run by Philip Hansson. The restaurant is open seven days a week, offering both lunch and à la carte service. The position involves working every other weekend.

Catering, conferences, and funeral banquets are common assignments. We also have the capacity to host larger groups for weddings and parties.

November and December are the busiest periods of the year, featuring goose dinners and Christmas buffets.

About the team

We have a small core team of loyal employees who have been with us for a long time. Since we started our own management in 2019, we have not needed to recruit a chef previously. It is a small group that achieves great things together, driven by joy and engagement.

About the role

The role can be adapted to your current level of expertise. Since our organization is flexible and easy to adjust, we are looking for either:

Second Chef (Sous Chef): With several years of experience preparing classic Swedish home-style cooking and à la carte dishes responsibly and meticulously. You must be capable of running the kitchen independently, handle high pressure, and take on significant responsibility.

OR

Chef: Educated and preferably with experience from similar establishments or cooking. Together with support from other chefs, you will be responsible for preparing classic Swedish home-style cooking and à la carte dishes. You thrive with responsibility, take your role seriously, and feel comfortable working independently in the kitchen at the end of your shift.
