Swedish International Preschool (SIF) in Hässelby is a bilingual preschool with just under 20 places, where children encounter both Swedish and English in their daily lives. We see the children as global citizens and create a secure, exploratory, and educational environment where language, play, and learning go hand in hand.
The preschool is located at Mäster Karls väg 5 in Hässelby, close to Lake Mälaren, parks, and natural areas in Riddersvik, offering excellent opportunities for outdoor activities and nature-based teaching. Our newly renovated preschool is designed to be welcoming and safe, with a personal atmosphere and close relationships between children, guardians, and educators.
We are a small and family-like unit with a clear international profile, bilingual operations (Swedish/English), and a strong focus on children's language development. We believe in the power of an early bilingual environment and provide children with good conditions to develop both Swedish and English.
Responsibilities
In the role of preschool teacher with us, you will:
- Lead and be responsible for teaching in a children's group based on the Preschool Curriculum Lpfö 18
- Plan, implement, document, and follow up on pedagogical activities
- Develop language-promoting, inclusive, and playful approaches in a bilingual environment
- Work actively in our systematic quality work throughout the year
- Collaborate closely with colleagues and maintain good dialogue with guardians
If you have education or experience in special needs pedagogy, we see this as a strong merit, and you will have the opportunity to contribute your competence in both children's groups and the work team.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for you who are a licensed preschool teacher and who:
- Have a clear pedagogical compass and a strong belief in every child's ability
- Have experience with or a strong interest in language-promoting approaches and bilingual teaching
- Thrive in an international environment and have good knowledge of English
- Are confident in your pedagogical leadership and accustomed to driving processes forward
- Have good collaboration skills, are receptive, and contribute to a positive work environment
It is meritorious if you:
- Have education or ongoing studies in special needs pedagogy
- Have experience working in bilingual children's groups or an international preschool
- Are familiar with pedagogical documentation and digital tools
As a person, you are curious, solution-focused, and development-oriented, responsible and structured, as well as relationship-building in your interactions with children, colleagues, and guardians.

Employment terms (adjust as needed):
- Scope: 75–100% (by agreement)
- Employment type: Permanent position with a 6-month probation period
- Start date: By agreement, preferably as soon as possible
- Salary: Individual salary setting, fixed monthly salary
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Licensed preschool teacher
- Experience working in a preschool
- Very good knowledge of Swedish, spoken and written
- Good knowledge of English
Meritorious:
- Special needs education or ongoing studies
- Experience with bilingual/international preschools
- Experience with language-promoting approaches
