Kulturskolan Raketen is an independent, non-profit primary school located in Björkhagen. A total of approximately 250 students attend the school, ranging from preschool class to grade 9. The school has been in operation for over 30 years and is well-established in the area. Our profile is "Culture, Environment, and Justice," and we work based on the motto "a child has many languages," which includes integrating aesthetic subjects with theoretical ones in what we call thematic work, starting from preschool class.

The atmosphere at the school is calm, the students are ambitious, and the teachers are experienced.

We are now looking for a qualified music teacher for a parental leave substitute position for the entire 2026/2027 academic year. The position is 100% and is a substitute appointment.

As a music teacher, you are the hub of the entire operation at Kulturskolan Raketen. We have several productions per year that combine music, singing, dance, and acting, which means you need to be accustomed to planning, conducting, and evaluating stage productions. As a music teacher, you will also plan the Christmas and summer closures and lead the after-school choir, which is part of the after-school center's activities.

As a teacher, you should be able to inspire musical engagement and encourage students to dare to challenge themselves. You need to have good experience in meeting a diverse group of students, as you will work with all grades from grade 1 to grade 9.

It is a requirement that you are a qualified music teacher with several years of professional experience.

The form of employment is a 100% substitute appointment. At the beginning, the goal is for the substitute and the regular music teacher to work together to create the best possible conditions for the academic year.
