About the workplace

Orust is the largest island on the west coast, located approximately 60 miles north of Gothenburg. The Nursing Unit is part of the municipal primary care and has three area offices on Orust. For evenings, nights, and weekends, we operate from our office centrally located in Henån.

We care for patients in ordinary housing, in SÄBO (specialized housing), and LSS housing. Teamwork is conducted together with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, and unit managers. We have a good work climate with wonderful colleagues who help and support each other.

Your responsibilities

We offer varied, stimulating, and independent work here on Orust. Here you will find community and the opportunity to work close to the operations, making it easier to be an important part of the whole.

The work as a nurse is multifaceted, involving both planned and emergency patient visits where you, among other things, are responsible for making independent assessments and leading and performing healthcare interventions. You plan measures, conduct follow-ups, manage medications, and medical technical equipment. As a nurse, you make a big difference, and since the role involves a lot of collaboration, knowledge sharing and building good contacts are a large part of the job, which also includes counseling and delegation to nursing staff.

Collaborative healthcare is part of our work, where we perform IVPA assignments (In Waiting for Ambulance), assistance assignments from MÄVA, health centers, the ambulance service, and home care, as well as assignments from 1177.

We document in the medical record system Procapita and develop our digital opportunities, where digital signing via Signit and key-free solutions via Home Care apps are part of the result. Schema Bemanning is our scheduling system.

About you

We are looking for you who are a Registered Nurse and who desire independent work where freedom and responsibility go hand in hand.

Having a few years of experience in the profession is meritorious, as is experience in working with the elderly and palliative care or experience in caring for patients with significant medical support needs.

Previous experience working in municipal care is meritorious but not a requirement.

You have good IT skills and good communication skills, and you master the Swedish language well in both speech and writing.

As a person, you are stable, secure, and empathetic, and you have the ability to adapt to different situations and changing circumstances. You are structured and can plan and organize your work in an efficient way. You collaborate well with others and thrive in teamwork. Great importance is attached to personal suitability.
