About the School

Practical Gymnasiet Täby offers students a concept where theory is interspersed with practical exercises both at school and at workplaces. At Practical, we set high standards for ourselves to create the best conditions for an educational and fun learning experience. Our teaching is characterized by flexibility, proximity, and practical learning. Our program offerings include: HT, FS, EE, and FR programs, as well as the IM program. Currently, the school has approximately 200 students and about 20 employees.

Your Role

The position is a permanent full-time employment starting in August 2026. You will teach and supervise our students in the Hairdressing and Stylist program, specialization in hairdressing, and together with other colleagues, you will be part of a work team. We see you as an important and driving force to develop both the program and the subject, with the students in focus and in collaboration with colleagues. In addition to occupation-specific tasks, you, like other teachers at the school, have duties such as mentor, and together you and your colleagues coach the students both socially and academically throughout their three years at Practical Gymnasiet. We primarily communicate through Schoolsoft, and we work in a Google environment by sharing digital documents, calendars, and plans.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who are a certified vocational teacher. We place great emphasis on personal qualities. You who lack teacher certification have the opportunity to apply for the position. You and the school principal will jointly draw up a plan for how you can become certified in the shortest possible way. The job duties include contact with business life as a large part of the students' study time consists of work-based learning (APL), and therefore good communication with employers is an asset.

We value your ability to meet students based on their knowledge and needs, and that you identify with our values and keywords. Our students are eager to enter working life, and your biggest task is to lead them there!
