The assignment

We are looking for you who can teach technology at the upper secondary school level. You will be part of the Technology Programme, where you will also serve as a mentor for a group of students. At Rodengymnasiet, we want you as a teacher to create varied teaching in the classroom. You should be able to lead teaching in a way that creates engagement and student activity. Every student should be met based on their prerequisites and needs. You need to be clear in your leadership while giving students the opportunity to influence the structure and content of the teaching. You work actively with feedback and help the student forward in their work and knowledge development. You enjoy collaborating with colleagues both in your subject and with colleagues teaching on the programme.

Challenges and opportunities

The position places high demands on you as a pedagogue to teach in a varied and methodical way, to conduct motivating conversations with students, and to give all students the best conditions for success. You collaborate with student health services and study and career guidance regarding the student.

What you need to bring with you

• You are a certified upper secondary school teacher in technology and another subject.
• You are flexible, open, and have good collaboration skills in meetings with students, guardians, and colleagues.
• You have good leadership qualities in the classroom and the ability to plan teaching that systematically guides students towards knowledge goals.
• We place great value on your commitment, your pedagogical competence, and your ability to inspire.

Rodengymnasiet is Norrtälje Municipality's largest upper secondary school. Here we have university-preparatory programmes and vocational programmes; we have approx. 1200 students and 130 employees. Here we have high expectations of students and employees, and we work together to create the best education and school for our students. This means we focus on proactive student health work where value-based issues are raised continuously during the school year. We have a Safety Team working to strengthen community, safety, and well-being at the school. Mentoring is characterized by early interventions in good cooperation with the student health team, teacher colleagues, and guardians. The work community at Rodengymnasiet is characterized by a desire and eagerness to develop pedagogy, leadership, and the operation as a whole so that all students can reach their full potential.
