As a Mechanical Designer, you work with the design, development, and change management of complex mechanical systems. You are part of a project team where you are responsible for your own module or subsystem, working through the entire chain — from requirement analysis and design to prototype, testing, and verification. Your daily work consists primarily of CAD work in Catia V6/3D Experience, drawing creation, and tolerance setting. As needed, you perform simple manual calculations and participate in practical testing, sometimes at other locations. The work varies between focused design work, project meetings, fault investigations, and contact with suppliers. To thrive in this role, you need to be responsible, solution-oriented, and comfortable working independently. You enjoy variety, collaborate easily in project groups, and appreciate switching between digital design and practical tasks. We are looking for someone who has:

  • Relevant university or civil engineering degree, preferably in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or another mechanics-related field
  • A few years of experience in mechanical design, development work, or production technology
  • Very good knowledge of CAD
  • Ability to create drawings and work with tolerance setting
  • Fluency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
  • Valid driver's license (Category B)
The assignment is classified. Employment requires you to undergo a security clearance check and be approved according to current security regulations. This may entail citizenship requirements.Meritorious qualifications
  • Experience with Catia V6/3D Experience (highly meritorious)
  • Strong understanding of production and real-world function, e.g., manufacturing drawings and tolerance setting
  • Experience with water or underwater products
  • Experience from defense-related industry
  • Experience following a product through its entire lifecycle
  • Practical interest and habit of testing, inspection, or working close to production
  • Experience with change management or fault investigations
  • Ability to take responsibility, drive your own work, and thrive with freedom under responsibility
