We are looking for a sub-project manager for phase and production planning for earthworks and civil engineering in the project Double Track Dingersjö–Sundsvall for Trafikverket (the Swedish Transport Administration).

The assignment is a consultancy role based in Sundsvall.

The position is full-time.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment

Sub-project manager coordinating phase and production planning for earthworks, civil engineering, roads, and railways in a comprehensive infrastructure project. The role involves responsibility for planning, coordinating, and monitoring production and phases between several sub-projects, as well as ensuring optimal use of resources, mass handling, and track time. The work is carried out in close cooperation between adjacent sub-projects and includes planning, review, and monitoring in both office environments and in the field.

Responsibilities

• Production and phase planning for the construction of roads and railways in the project "Double Track Dingersjö-Kubikenborg".
• Coordinate production and phase planning with Sundsvall Accessibility and Travel Centre.
• Plan and coordinate so-called train-free periods and train stops for "Double Track Dingersjö-Sundsvall" and "Sundsvall Accessibility and Travel Centre" so that the times can be utilized maximally in both projects, thereby minimizing disruptions to train traffic during construction.
• Monitor mass handling. It is of utmost importance that production is planned so that masses between sub-projects can be optimally used for the construction of track substructure and track superstructure.
• Participate in scheduling and planning of track time.
• Participate in the review and evaluation of tender documents with associated technical solutions.
• Review construction documents and technical descriptions for earthworks and civil engineering works.
• Monitor that cost-effective and time-optimal solutions are chosen.
• Monitor that design assignments are coordinated, especially in sections where projects border each other.
• Maintain a diary of important events.
• A large part of the assignment involves being, checking, and planning in the field.

Requirements (OBS, mandatory)

• At least 5 years of experience as a project manager, construction manager, site manager, or foreman from earthworks and civil engineering production in railway projects. The assignment must have been completed within the last 10 years with a contract value of at least 200 Mkr.
• At least 2 years of experience as a project manager, construction manager, site manager, or foreman in road production projects. The assignment must have been completed within the last 10 years with a contract value of at least 50 Mkr.
• Good ability to assess and calculate costs for earthworks and civil engineering works.
• Must have completed BAS-A/S/K safety training no later than at the start of the assignment.
• Participated in design for earthworks and civil engineering works for roads or railways in an assignment of at least 30 Mkr. The assignment must have been completed within the last 10 years.
• Conducted qualified review of designed documents for earthworks and civil engineering works for roads and railways in an assignment of at least 30 Mkr.
• Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Merits

• You can demonstrate high competence regarding production planning of earthworks and civil engineering works in railway projects to be built in an environment where existing railway traffic must continue simultaneously.
• You have a good ability to coordinate production planning and phase development in two or more adjacent infrastructure projects.
• You can demonstrate high competence in assessing the time required for earthworks in development phases, as well as assessing the time required for earthworks that require closed tracks.
• You have extensive experience in leadership coordination in production.
