Teacher for Introduction Program – Individual Alternative with focus on ASD

School Description

Riksäpplet Upper Secondary School is beautifully situated by the Rudan outdoor recreation area, with direct access to the Handen commuter train station. Riksäpplet hosts Haninge Municipality's introduction programs: Language Introduction, Individual Alternative, and Vocational Introduction. We also operate an adapted upper secondary school with around 40 students across national and individual programs. In total, we have approximately 400 students enrolled in our educational programs.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a teacher for our introduction program, specifically the Individual Alternative track with a special pedagogical focus on Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). All students on this program have an ASD diagnosis, often in combination with other neurodevelopmental disorders (NPF) and other challenges. Each student has an individual study plan that dictates their curriculum and schedule. The role requires a strong ability to adapt teaching to meet diverse student needs. You must be able to build trusting relationships with the students. The position includes standard teaching duties such as planning, delivering lessons, follow-up work, and mentoring.

Qualifications

You must have teacher certification and eligibility to teach in at least one of the following subjects: Swedish/Swedish as a Second Language (SVA), Mathematics, or English. Broad subject eligibility is an advantage.

Excellent proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written, is required.

You have experience working with students on introduction programs. This requires you to be flexible, creative, proactive, and resilient, with the student's needs always at the center.

You have experience working cross-subject in teams with a holistic view of student learning. The role requires excellent collaboration skills and the ability to engage in dialogue with your colleagues in the teaching team.

Conditions

This is a permanent position (ferietjänst) with a monthly salary based on agreement. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
