About the Department

We are currently seeking locum nurses who wish to work on an as-needed basis. Perhaps you are retired, furthering your education, or looking for flexible work alongside your current job.

The Forensic Psychiatry Clinic in Säter provides highly specialized care at the county, regional, and national levels. We primarily treat patients under the Forensic Psychiatry Care Act and currently have 78 beds distributed across seven wards.

Work within forensic psychiatry is varied and requires both medical competence and a professional approach to patient interaction. For those new to the field, there is an opportunity to observe (shadow) to gain a better understanding of the operations.

The SSK Unit is a newly established nursing unit with the mission to strengthen collaboration, quality, and security in nursing care. Here, we work closely together and value an open climate where experiences are shared and colleagues support each other in daily work. The working method is consultative, meaning you are responsible for several wards during your shifts, which is both stimulating and developmental.

Job Description

As a locum nurse, you strengthen the department as needed, sometimes with short notice. You play a central role in the patient's care team and are responsible for medical assessments, medication management, and documentation. The role also involves collaborating with other professions and contributing to safe and structured care. The position requires the ability to prioritize, make independent decisions, and collaborate effectively with colleagues.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• You are a licensed nurse

Merits:

• Since our patients have both psychiatric and somatic care needs, we appreciate if you have good knowledge of somatic care
• Experience in psychiatric care
