We are looking for you, a licensed occupational therapist, to work within municipal healthcare this summer.

We provide rehabilitation across various operational areas. We work with patients in ordinary housing, care and nursing homes, and short-term care units. You will work within one of these areas. At our organization, you will usually meet patients over a longer period. This means you will become a master of encounters and relationships. In your work, you will perform assessments, treatments, and evaluations. You make a difference for patients and create conditions for them to live as independently and with as high a quality of life as possible. The role also includes supervising care staff, delegating tasks, and prescribing and fitting medical technical aids. You will meet patients with different rehabilitation needs, which gives you a great variety in your work and opportunities to constantly develop your skills and learn new things.

You will receive an introduction, ongoing counseling, and knowledge exchange with colleagues in a close-knit team. The summer period runs from June to August (weeks 26-33). Working hours are during the day. Gothenburg City has four urban areas: Hisingen, Sydväst, Centrum, and Nordost. You choose which urban areas you are interested in when applying. Based on preferences and operational needs, your application is then distributed to the responsible unit manager.

About you

We are looking for you who are a licensed occupational therapist. A B-class driver's license is meritorious and necessary in some areas as you travel to different patients by car. It is also meritorious if you have previous experience in habilitation or rehabilitation work and/or experience with our operational areas.

We place great emphasis on good interpersonal skills, as this is the foundation of patient-centered work. By showing respect, being attentive, and listening actively, you create safe and trusting relationships. Your ability to motivate and inspire is central to rehabilitation and strengthens the patient's own drive for long-term progress. Since we work in teams, collaboration and a positive work environment are crucial. You take responsibility, organize, and prioritize your work independently to ensure effective, high-quality care for every patient.
