Welcome to Pågen and our strong community. At Pågen, we help each other. As Sweden's leading bakery, we deliver steaming fresh bread to consumers in Sweden and export markets every morning. At the same time, we are close enough to the operations to make quick decisions, test new paths, and create real value. Here, you have the opportunity to influence, challenge, and contribute to development!

To meet future needs and continue our digital journey, we are now strengthening our IT department.

Do you want to work close to technology, operations, and development in a modern IT environment? We are now looking for a Cloud & DevOps Engineer who wants to work in a hybrid IT environment with both Azure and On-prem, where stability, security, and automation are in focus. You will work closely with our integration specialists, developers, and architects to ensure efficient delivery flows and high availability in our systems.

At its core, this is a broad platform and DevOps role in a hybrid Azure/On-prem environment.

About the role
The role is technically broad and involves administration and further development of both Azure and On-prem environments. You work with DevOps processes, automation of operational flows, and development of CI/CD pipelines. You drive technical improvements, optimize platforms, and contribute to architectural choices for future solutions, with a particular focus on cloud-based services in Microsoft Azure.

The role suits you if you thrive at the intersection of operations and development and want to work both operationally and improvement-driven in a business-critical IT environment. Main responsibilities:

  • Administer and manage systems and environments in Microsoft Azure and On-prem
  • Work with DevOps processes such as CI/CD, automation, and release management
  • Support backend environments, applications, databases, and services
  • Monitor operations, performance, and availability
  • Handle incidents, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
  • Participate in improvement work regarding security, stability, and scalability
  • Collaborate with development teams on environments, deployments, and pipelines
  • Work with integrations and integration environments
  • Document solutions, routines, and technical configurations

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Experience in system administration in modern IT environments
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Azure
  • Experience with DevOps work and automated flows
  • Understanding of backend environments, such as applications, services, and databases
  • Experience with scripting and automation, for example PowerShell or Bash
  • Very good Swedish and English in speech and writing

You are structured and solution-oriented with a clear sense of responsibility in your work. You enjoy collaborating and communicating with both IT colleagues and other parts of the business, while also being able to work independently when required. You are curious, development-oriented, and enjoy working in a role where you can combine stable operations with improvements and further development.

We offer:

  • A technically advanced and broad role in a hybrid IT environment
  • Opportunity to influence architecture, security, and development flows
  • Close collaboration with both operations and IT
  • A unique journey within Swedish food production as we build a new modern bakery in Landskrona, with the first breads ready by the end of 2029

The role is located at our headquarters in Malmö – historic ground for Pågen and next door to the bakery, where the smell of freshly baked bread is a natural part of everyday life. We work in the office because we are convinced that it strengthens collaboration, simplifies dialogue, and makes the work both more enjoyable and more efficient. Sitting physically close to the heart of our operations – the bakery – gives a unique understanding of our processes and creates a close connection between IT, operations, and what we actually produce.

About Pågen

Pågen is a family business in its fifth generation that has been baking bread since 1878. Here we bake with love and care for our raw materials and products, employees, consumers, and shared resources. With two bakeries where skilled bakers bake day and night, and with Sweden's largest sales force, Pågen supplies the country's shops and export markets with fresh bread every day, and two own mills that supply the bakeries with Swedish flour. With products such as packaged fresh bread, yeast coffee bread, crispbread, as well as sausage and hamburger buns, we are now taking the step into the future and building a new bakery in Landskrona.
