Tanums Hamnar AB is now looking for a Caretaker (Handyman) for our harbors along Tanum Municipality's unique coastline.

About Tanums Hamnar AB

Tanum Municipality's coast and harbors are well-known and highly appreciated by both Swedish and international visitors. We manage approximately 2,000 permanent boat berths, quays for commercial traffic, and several of Sweden's most popular guest harbors with around 11,000 guest nights per year.

The operations are characterized by a high level of service, strategic security thinking, and a large number of visitors. Tanums Hamnar is a municipal company where five employees work together to ensure the harbors function, develop, and maintain high quality.

Responsibilities

As a Caretaker, you will work together with the Harbor Master and a colleague to:

• Manage the operation, supervision, and maintenance of the municipality's harbors
• Perform practical tasks such as carpentry, simpler electrical, and plumbing work
• Ensure good service and safety for boat owners and visitors
• Be the face of Tanums Hamnar in meetings with customers at the harbors
• Prioritize and plan work in a varied and sometimes intensive environment

The work is primarily outdoors and can be physically demanding at times.

• Is structured, orderly, and self-motivated
• Enjoys customer contact and service
• Is stress-resistant and flexible under high workload
• Is practical, solution-oriented, and handy

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Completed upper secondary education (preferably in electrical or construction)
• Category B driver's license
• Digital competence

Merits:

• Knowledge of carpentry, electrical work, and plumbing
• Seafaring experience
• Ship's Captain Class 8 certificate
• Motorsaw and brush cutter license
