Job Description

In the role of software designer, you work in a high-tech and international environment where you have a central function in electrical design, development, as well as mechanical installation and manufacturing. You are an important support to both assembly and mechanics and other functions within the company. Your tasks include, among other things, independently developing software and contributing to updating and improving electrical systems and cabling. You work on new development and simplification of systems, create technical documentation for finished solutions and prototypes, and are responsible for testing, quality assurance, and documentation. You also participate in the development of troubleshooting and documentation systems for electrical and CAN bus systems. The work takes place in close collaboration with production and other development teams, with a focus on continuous improvement. Travel may occur a few times a year in connection with customer visits and service assignments internationally.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have completed a university or college education with a technical focus, or alternatively a secondary education combined with substantial technical work experience. You thrive with independent work, are solution-oriented, and enjoy thinking outside the box, while collaborating closely with colleagues. You have a genuine technical interest, want to develop, and dare to make your own decisions. As a person, you are structured, detail-oriented, and have a good overall perspective. You are positive, proactive, and curious, with a strong drive to solve technical challenges. Good social skills are important as the role involves many contact points, both internally and externally. Leadership experience, such as team leader or group manager, is meritorious. You are fluent in Swedish and English in both speech and writing. Location: Kalmar. You report to the Technical Manager.
