About the role – Mechanical Designer

In this role, you are responsible for mechanical design throughout the entire project lifecycle – from feasibility studies and concept development to customer delivery. The work includes documentation, drawing support, risk assessment according to the Machinery Directive, and CE marking. You work closely with project managers, designers, procurement, and production in an environment where collaboration is crucial for the final result.

Tasks and responsibilities

• Responsible for design throughout the entire chain – from idea to finished machine
• Work in cross-functional project teams with very high technical competence
• Have an active role in the dialogue with both customers and suppliers
• Ensure that designs meet customer requirements, standards, and internal working methods
• Contribute to continuous improvements in both design and process in an industry with high demands
• Represent AutomationsPartner in customer meetings and at deliveries, nationally and internationally

We are looking for you who:

Have a technical education or equivalent experience, as well as at least eight years of experience in precision mechanical design, where you have worked with calculations, material selection, and technical problem-solving in complex contexts. You have good knowledge of risk assessment, the Machinery Directive, and CE marking, as well as experience with pneumatics and servo technology. Furthermore, you work comfortably in CAD, PDM, and ERP systems and have a good understanding of the interaction between them. You are technically curious, confident in taking responsibility for advanced solutions, and have a structured and quality-conscious working approach with great attention to detail. As a person, you thrive in collaborations where responsibility, engagement, and team spirit are a natural part of everyday life. You communicate clearly and professionally in both Swedish and English.
