Description

Vocational High School Sollentuna is primarily seeking a certified vocational teacher in Hairdressing/Makeup Styling, but you are also welcome to apply if you have at least five years of work experience in the hairdressing and makeup styling industry. Here, students learn a trade from the ground up on real workplaces with experienced supervisors. In this position, you will have the opportunity to share your knowledge with the future hairdressers and makeup stylists. More than half of the students' education time takes place at a workplace, giving them a stable foundation and an advantage in the labor market. Our students are prepared in the best possible way for their future professional lives with the support of their supervisors and dedicated educators.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a certified teacher or alternatively has at least five years of experience in the hairdressing and makeup styling industry and a strong drive to teach and supervise students.

• Is an excellent communicator and team player who can act as a bridge-builder between school, students, and the business community.

• Has a B driver's license and preferably access to a personal car.

• Has the ability to work independently while being team-oriented and collaborating with colleagues to best prepare students for their future professional lives.

Qualifications

A teaching degree or alternatively substantial experience in hairdressing/makeup styling and a desire to inspire and develop the next generation of hairdressers and makeup stylists. Teacher certification and pedagogical experience are desirable but not required.
