Värmdö Vocational High School is located in modern premises in Gustavsberg. The school is situated in a new residential area near Gustavsberg harbor. You can reach us conveniently by bus 474 from Slussen in less than 25 minutes.

The school is a vocational high school with its own workshops in electricity, automotive, plumbing, marine technology, and construction.

VYG is a small and family-oriented school with low staff turnover. Currently, there are approximately 170 students at the school. Staff influence is high and the decision-making chain is short. Taken together, this means that employees feel included in the school as a whole.

The school has a clear organization, and we constantly strive to develop our structure together.

As a librarian here, you work closely with students, teachers, and school leadership to strengthen students' information competence, reading comprehension, and study skills. The library should be a safe, inspiring, and accessible environment that supports the school's educational goals and the students' development.

You are responsible for the daily operations of the school library and actively contribute to teaching through collaboration with teachers and student health services.

• Promote students' reading, language development, and desire to learn
• Support students' media and information literacy (MIL)
• Guide students in information searching and source criticism
• Collaborate with teachers on teaching and project work
• Be responsible for the library's media, purchases, and development
• Create activities that inspire reading and learning
• Work to ensure the library is an inclusive and accessible learning environment
• Participate in the school's pedagogical development work

We are looking for someone who has:

• A degree in library and information science or equivalent education
• Experience working in a school library or educational setting is meritorious
• Good digital competence and knowledge of information searching and source criticism
• Ability to collaborate and build good relationships with young people and colleagues
