RESPONSIBILITIES

You now have the opportunity to become part of our team in the kitchen at Pär Lagerkvistskolan in Växjö, where we are primarily looking for a kitchen assistant. A cook may also be considered if needed. In our work group, a production manager, cooks, and kitchen assistants work together to produce 1,600 portions daily for our guests. As a cook, you love preparing food and want a central role that is both varied and responsible. A job performed with great flexibility and a natural sense of service. The position is 100%, and you need to be flexible to work in other kitchens within the food service organization if needed.

Your work includes:

planning, preparing, and serving meals
ordering supplies
performing self-inspections
certain cleaning and dishwashing tasks
ensuring that laws and regulations are followed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications for a kitchen assistant are basic/vocational education in cooking or previous experience in kitchen work. Qualifications for a cook are a cook's education.

You have a genuine interest in cooking, a professional and friendly attitude, and a desire to provide good service to our guests. We see you as a positive and engaged person with a solution-oriented approach to work. Good teamwork skills are important, both in the work group and in meeting with our guests. You are orderly, structured, and take responsibility for your tasks. Furthermore, you must have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as computer skills.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability and expect you to be a good representative of Växjö Municipality.
