Welcome to Nordrest in Växjö!

At Linnaeus University in Växjö, we operate restaurants, cafés, and catering services, ranging from lunch service to conferences and events. Our operations include Kristina Restaurant, Rasken Restaurant, Astrakan Café, and the Salad Bar, where we serve approximately 400 lunch guests daily.

We are now looking for an engaged and driven chef for our operations at Linnaeus University in Växjö. Here, you will work in a varied environment where cooking, quality, and guest experience are the focus. You will be involved in planning, preparing, and cooking food from scratch, contributing to an attractive and sustainable menu.

The work is varied and may involve lunch service, catering, conferences, buffets, and events. Therefore, we are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has good teamwork skills, and enjoys taking responsibility in the kitchen.

We believe you are a positive and solution-oriented person with a genuine interest in cooking and ingredients. You contribute to a good atmosphere in the team and help us create a positive experience for our guests according to our values – spreading joy, surprising positively, and being accessible.

We would like you to have:

• Chef training or equivalent experience

• Experience working in a restaurant kitchen

• Good knowledge of Swedish and English

• Category B driver's license

It is an advantage if you have experience with menu planning, ordering supplies, and sustainability work.
