Campus Manilla is looking for a special needs teacher (speciallärare) for primary school, with a focus on grades F-6. You will be part of the school's student health team, working collaboratively with teachers and other staff to promote and prevent issues, fostering an inclusive and high-quality learning environment. As a special needs teacher, you will work individually, in groups, and at the class level to create the best possible conditions for students to reach their full potential based on their individual prerequisites. The role involves collaborating with colleagues on extra adaptations, special support, pedagogical assessments, action plans, and cooperation with guardians and external actors.
About You
You are flexible, structured, well-planned, and inspiring in your teaching. You are team-oriented and interested in contributing to the professional development of the organization. You have the ability to plan and organize both your own work and the students' work in an effective manner. You have excellent collaboration skills and find it easy to build relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You enjoy working together with other professionals in the student health team and teachers, and you are eager to share your competence and engagement.
With security and commitment, you mentor and support colleagues and work teams, contributing special pedagogical competence regarding adaptations, teaching strategies, and learning environments. You keep up to date with current research in special pedagogy and share your theoretical knowledge and pedagogical competence.
Responsibilities
As a special needs teacher in language, writing, and reading development or mathematics, you work both preventively and remedially to strengthen students' knowledge. You observe, document, follow up, and map students' needs, conduct pedagogical assessments, and plan interventions in close collaboration with teaching teachers, the student health team, and school management. Furthermore, you conduct and analyze screenings and other mappings.
The role includes providing targeted support to students in need of special support, both individually and in small groups, as well as mentoring and supporting colleagues in developing teaching. You contribute to creating good learning environments and work systematically to follow up and evaluate interventions.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a certified teacher in Swedish and/or mathematics and educated as a special needs teacher with a focus on language, writing, and reading development or mathematics. You have experience working with students in need of special support and are confident in conducting mappings, analyzing results, and planning relevant interventions.
You are structured, clear, and relationship-building, with the ability to collaborate closely with both teachers and student health services. You have a professional approach and work solution-focused with the student's development at the center.
