ABOUT THE JOB

We are now looking for summer substitutes for elderly and group housing in Lycksele Municipality for the summer of 2026.

Do you want to work as a summer substitute in special housing within Support, Care, and Care Services this summer? Don't hesitate to send us your application! Lycksele Municipality strives to offer good citizen services, and the core of this is our skilled and knowledgeable employees. Together we have broad competence and together we become better. Being a summer substitute within Support, Care, and Care Services means that during the period from June to August, you work as a substitute in our operations when regular staff is on holiday. There is an opportunity to start the summer job earlier and get trained already during the spring. If you then wish to continue as an hourly substitute during the autumn, there are good opportunities for continued employment.

As an employee in special housing, elderly housing, or group housing, you help our users with service and personal care. Our work is to make a difference, so that the quality of life for our users becomes as good as possible. Being able to make a difference for other people makes the work very pleasant. The most important tool we have is our attitude and our smile, so that our fellow human beings feel seen and confirmed. The work will be scheduled according to shifts, day, evening, or night.

YOUR PROFILE

We are looking for you who are 18 years or older. We see it as an advantage if you have education within care and social services or equivalent education that the employer considers equivalent, but the most important thing for us is that you have an interest and commitment in working with people and want to support them in their daily lives. We believe it is an advantage, but not a requirement, if you have a category B driver's license.

As a person, you are good at listening, putting yourself in others' shoes, and understanding other people and their needs. You will be in contact with many people daily, such as users, relatives, and staff, which requires good attitude and good cooperation skills. Working with people means an exciting and changing daily life, and therefore we believe you are good at adapting and prioritizing tasks according to current conditions. Therefore, great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

We have also worked on salaries and conditions for our summer substitutes this year, as you are important to us! This means that we will pay higher salaries than the central agreement during the summer months. We also try to help with temporary housing if you have difficulty finding accommodation in Lycksele during the time you are working with us.

ABOUT THE EMPLOYMENT

Duration: Summer substitute position June – August.

Scope: 100% or as agreed.

Start date: As agreed.

Salary: We apply individual salary setting.
