Description of the workplace

Kinda Municipality is seeking care assistants (undersköterskor) for special housing in Kisa and Horn, as well as for home care services in Rimforsa and Horn.

Bergdala Elderly Care Facility is Kinda Municipality's largest elderly care facility, located in Kisa. Bergdala consists of 71 apartments distributed across 8 units. Here you will find:

• 4 units with a dementia focus
• 3 units with a somatic focus
• 1 unit with short-term care and near-care places

Stångågården Elderly Care Facility is Kinda Municipality's smallest elderly care facility, located in Horn. Stångågården consists of 18 apartments distributed across two units: Skogsgläntan with a somatic focus (12 places) and our small dementia-focused unit, Lyktan (6 places).

Home Care Services in Kinda Municipality are organized into several work groups: one in Rimforsa, one in Horn, three in the central town of Kisa, and one night patrol.

As a care assistant in home care, you are a vital part of providing support and care based on each user's individual needs and wishes. The tasks are varied and require both independence and good teamwork skills. You perform your duties in the users' homes or accompany them on outings.

Job Description

Care work is important, enjoyable, and developmental work where you provide support and help to people in their daily lives. We work based on a common value system where we consider each person's conditions, create participation, and make everyday life meaningful.

• Provide support and care based on approved interventions and the user's needs and wishes.
• Assist with personal care, such as hygiene, toilet visits, and dressing/undressing.
• Perform daily chores such as cleaning, laundry, and meal support.
• Participate in transfers, medication management, and some rehabilitation.
• Document according to current legislation.
• Be a permanent care contact and hold various representative roles.
• Perform delegated tasks from licensed personnel.
• Create security and build good relationships with users and relatives.

The meeting with the human being is always in focus. Through professional and respectful treatment, you contribute to security, participation, and good care.

Working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and every other weekend.

Qualifications

You take great responsibility in your professional practice and show judgment and respect. You work systematically and have a strong ability to reflect, assess, and handle different situations that can change quickly based on your own competence. It is important that you can balance different demands and maintain a positive attitude in challenging situations. You easily create and maintain good relationships with others and are confident in meetings and difficult conversations.

You have a strong ability to work independently, but also together with others. Since we are legally required to document our work, it is crucial that you can express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, and have good computer skills.

Finally, you are a person with a genuine interest in people and service. Personal suitability is given great weight.
