Job Description

As a contact nurse at the general oncology clinic, you will have a central and meaningful role where you work independently with your own patients while being a key person in the multidisciplinary team. You follow the patient through the care process after completed treatment with follow-up and rehabilitation – contributing to security, continuity, and high quality in care.

In this role, you will among other things:

• Be the patient's fixed contact person.
• Conduct structured assessments of the patient's well-being and rehabilitation needs.
• Provide knowledge about expected reactions, side effects, and late effects.
• Offer individually adapted self-care advice.
• Provide support and counseling via phone, 1177, and My Care Plan.
• Plan and coordinate the patient's care, including booking follow-up visits.
• Administer bone-strengthening treatment.

Here you will have the opportunity to combine clinical work with patient-proximity support and development – in a role where you truly make a difference every day. The work is during office hours, Monday to Friday.

Work Group

At the general oncology clinic, we have nurse-led clinics that are diagnosis-specific, where we follow up patients with breast cancer, brain tumors, gynecological cancer, as well as side effects after gynecological cancer treatment, neuroendocrine tumors, testicular cancer, and sarcoma.

In total, we are eleven nurses, including many specialist nurses and one assistant nurse. In your role as a contact nurse, you will have the opportunity to work independently with the patients you are responsible for and be an important part of teamwork with other professions regarding the patient's rehabilitation and follow-up after cancer treatment. Since oncology is a field with rapid development, improvement work is a natural part of the job.

About You

You are a licensed nurse, preferably with experience in oncology and/or as a contact nurse.

We are looking for you who have a structured way of working, natural drive and engagement, as well as a strong sense of responsibility. You easily see both the big picture and details, drive development work, and adapt to changing circumstances. Through your sensitivity and professional collaboration skills, you build good relationships and actively contribute to a positive work climate. Personal suitability is of great importance.
