As a Materials and Process Engineer, you will be part of a team working with, among other things, the qualification of materials and manufacturing processes. The work takes place at the interface between production, design, quality, and purchasing, as well as in contact with external parties outside of Saab AB. A key part of the role is providing support to production and design, which includes assisting with questions regarding material selection and deviation management. The role may also involve teaching, contact with material suppliers, and work with our internal company standards.

The Composite Materials team belongs to the Material & Process Polymer and Composite section within the Material Process and Component Engineering area. This section is responsible for standardized materials and processes for the manufacturing of Aeronautics' various products. We currently have 18 employees on the section.

The work can be adapted to some extent to the individual's competence and focus in collaboration with the rest of the team.

We are looking for you who hold at least a Master of Science (MSc) degree in materials technology, chemistry, physics, or a similar field.

To be successful in this role, you need good knowledge of materials technology and an interest in composite materials. You have experience working in a multidisciplinary environment, possess strong pedagogical skills, and have the ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple projects in parallel.

It is meritorious if you have experience in production-oriented work or experience with composite materials and their manufacturing. As a person, we see that you have high social competence, are self-initiative, and meticulous in your work. You have an analytical approach and are proactive. You take initiative and responsibility and can work both independently and in a group. You communicate well, both verbally and in writing, in both Swedish and English.
