About the Workplace

Källtorpskolan is a grades 7–9 school located in Kallhäll, Järfälla. The school has approximately 370 students in total, of whom 30 students follow the curriculum for Adapted Primary School (AG).

We are currently seeking a qualified Special Needs Teacher for our Adapted Primary School operations. We currently have 30 students in our unit but have capacity for 40, and the unit is expected to grow in the coming years. Students study both subjects and subject areas within the Adapted Primary School curriculum.

Responsibilities

Källtorpskolan is looking for an engaged, solution-focused, and competent Special Needs Teacher with a specialization in Intellectual Disability (IF) who is passionate about making a difference for students with special needs.

As a Special Needs Teacher with us, you will work in a small, secure, and creative school environment where every student's strengths and needs are the focus. You will teach in small groups with individualized instruction, often thematic and cross-curricular. We use clarifying pedagogy and alternative learning tools to create a structured and meaningful school day for students with intellectual disabilities.

You will collaborate closely with teaching assistants to promote learning, communication, and independence for each student.

Examples of duties:

• Teach subject areas within the Adapted Primary School curriculum.
• Plan and conduct teaching in the Adapted Primary School.
• Work with clarifying pedagogy and alternative learning tools.
• Collaborate with other special needs teachers and management.
• Supervise teaching assistants regarding student goals and working methods.
• Contribute to a secure, predictable, and stimulating learning environment.
• Participate in the school's development work and pedagogical forums.

• Legitimized Special Needs Teacher with a specialization in Intellectual Disability, with experience in Adapted Primary School.
