Economic reporting within the real estate sector

Subject Description

The subject covers business administration with a focus on economic reporting, investment calculations, business economic calculations, and analyses. The company level is central to the subject area, which focuses on information for various types of internal economic management and external reporting of the company's operations (sustainability metrics, financial status, etc.). The subject also covers real estate companies' relationships with the financial sector, such as through credit granting.

Responsibilities

The position involves teaching courses within the undergraduate program, focusing on financial reporting in the real estate sector as well as credit assessment, with a focus on both commercial properties and the residential sector. The adjunct is also expected to work with supervising bachelor's theses and in commissioned education. Faculty assignments, in roles such as study director or program director for bachelor's programs, may be part of the adjunct's responsibilities.

Qualifications

Eligible for appointment as an adjunct is someone who has:

  1. completed a degree at the first or second cycle within the subject of employment or has equivalent competence.
  2. professional skills that are significant with regard to the subject content of the employment and the tasks included in the employment.
  3. shown pedagogical skill.

Evaluation Criteria

The evaluation criteria for appointment as an adjunct at KTH are those specified in section 1.5 of KTH's Employment Regulations in relation to the established employment profile.

It is of highest importance that the applicant has

  • subject-specific competence relevant to the content of the employment.
  • professional competence relevant to the content of the employment.
  • pedagogical skill. The assessment of pedagogical skill should also concern the person's ability to develop as a teacher in the long term.
  • ability to teach in Swedish.

It is of next highest importance that the applicant has

  • administrative skill.
  • ability to collaborate with the surrounding society.
  • at least four years of professional experience outside higher education.

It is also of importance that the applicant has

  • higher education pedagogical training.
  • competence regarding development work in the field.
  • ability to develop and lead operations and personnel, as well as collaboration skills. This includes having knowledge of diversity and equal treatment issues with a particular focus on gender equality.
