Are you at the beginning of your IT career and driven by providing first-class service? Do you have a genuine technical interest and want to grow in a role where your social skills are your greatest strength? Then this might be the role for you!

About the role

In this role, you will become part of a successful, international company that is at the forefront of digital solutions and software development for the future. As an IT Support Technician with us, you get the best of both worlds: the security and career paths of a large corporation, combined with the personal responsibility at the local office.

You will be the only support technician on-site in Gothenburg, which means you will become a key person for your local colleagues. However, you are part of a national team spread across the country, giving you access to a strong network of expertise. Curiosity is encouraged here; you will have the opportunity to spend time on your own mini-projects and focus extra on the technical areas you are most passionate about – whether it is networking, security, or automation.

We believe in a thorough introduction. You will be assigned a dedicated mentor and follow a clear onboarding plan. As part of your first few weeks with us, you will also have the opportunity to travel to one of our other offices in Sweden to get to know the organization, the team, and our processes in depth.

What we offer

  • A first step in your IT career
  • Opportunity to focus on your areas of interest
  • Opportunity to take significant responsibility
  • Good development opportunities

Responsibilities

As an IT Support Technician, you have a broad and varied daily routine where you support the organization with both large and small matters. You work closely with the Facilities department to create a first-class office experience.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Support & Troubleshooting: Handle incoming tickets and resolve technical issues directly on-site or remotely.
  • On- & Offboarding: Ensure new employees have a smooth start by preparing accounts, permissions, and hardware, as well as handling offboarding for colleagues who leave.
  • Hardware & Peripherals: Installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of laptops, monitors, printers, and meeting room technology.
  • Network & Systems: Basic network troubleshooting and participation in projects when introducing new systems and tools.
  • Order Management: Responsible for purchasing and inventory management of technical equipment.

We are looking for someone who

  • Has worked with IT support/helpdesk or in a similar technical role.
  • Has good knowledge of Windows environments and hardware.
  • Has a genuine interest in IT and technology – you are probably the one family and friends call when their computers are acting up.
  • Speaks and writes fluently in Swedish and English

It is an advantage if you have

  • A technical education from upper secondary school or university of applied sciences.
  • An interest in programming or AI projects.

We place great emphasis on your personal qualities. We are looking for someone who is distinctly social and communicative – you enjoy helping others and spread good energy around you. You are also structured, keep your tasks organized, and take initiative to improve processes in the office.

Our recruitment process

This recruitment process is handled by Academic Work, and our client's preference is that all questions regarding the role are sent to Academic Work.

We apply rolling selection and will remove the advertisement when enough candidates have reached the final stage of the recruitment process. A CV is required when applying. We do not use cover letters as a selection method, so one is not needed. The recruitment process includes two selection tests: a personality test and a cognitive ability test. The tests are a tool to find the candidate with the highest potential for the role and to promote equality, diversity, and a fair recruitment process.
