Project Description
PhD Subject: Business Administration
The doctoral candidate will work on consumers' relationships with companies within the property and finance sectors. These relationships are now often mediated in various ways, and developments in generative AI create new opportunities to develop customer relationships with consumers with different prerequisites – for example, in terms of knowledge or health. Areas affected by this include financial services linked to consumer well-being and new solutions for a socially sustainable housing market. We are looking for a candidate with experience in customer-centric development work within the property or finance sectors, or alternatively, a strong interest in this field.
Supervision: Inga-Lill Söderberg is proposed to supervise the doctoral candidate. The final decision will be made upon admission.
Admission Requirements
To be admitted to doctoral studies (Chapter 7, Section 39 of the Higher Education Ordinance), the applicant must have basic eligibility:
- completed an advanced level degree, or
- completed course requirements of at least 240 higher education credits, including at least 60 higher education credits at an advanced level, or
- acquired substantially equivalent knowledge in some other way, within or outside the country.
In addition to the above, there is also a mandatory requirement for English equivalent to English B/6.
Selection
To succeed in your doctoral studies at KTH, you need to be goal-oriented and persistent in your work. In the selection of applicants, the ability to:
- independently drive their work forward,
- collaborate with others,
- have a professional attitude,
- analyze and work with complex issues,
- Swedish skills (oral and written) are meritorious as parts of the work involve communication and documentation in Swedish.
- a personal interest in the current area expressed through problematizing society's knowledge needs is also meritorious, and
- applicants should have a master's degree (or equivalent) in a subject relevant to the research, such as civil engineering, business administration, human-computer interaction, or pedagogy.
After meeting the eligibility requirements, great weight will be placed on personal qualities.

Information on Admission and Employment
Only those admitted to doctoral studies may be employed as doctoral candidates. The total employment period may not be longer than what corresponds to full-time doctoral education over four years. An employed doctoral candidate may, to a limited extent (maximum 20%), perform certain tasks within, for example, education and administration. A new employment as a doctoral candidate is valid for a maximum of one year; the employment may thereafter be renewed for a maximum of two years at a time.
