About Us

Närhälsan Sjöbo Health Centre is looking for you who want to work with us and make a difference for the residents. We want to provide all our patients and residents with personalized care and support of high quality. We are a well-functioning health centre with approximately 5,350 registered residents. Here, approximately 20 dedicated employees work in various professional categories in a positive work environment. The work is varied, interesting, and developmental, and the sense of well-being among our employees is high. With us, you become part of a competent team characterized by great commitment and high creativity. In addition to the usual health centre clinic, we also have a family centre with which Child Health Services (BVC) has a close collaboration.

We are located in the north-eastern part of Borås, approximately 2 km from the city centre. Buses run with frequent departures from Borås city centre and take approximately 10 minutes.

About the Job

Your duties at the health centre cover a broad field and include general medical competence with patients of all ages and situations. You work independently and variably with clinic work. Supervision is provided by an experienced specialist who gives you support and knowledge exchange. We offer you varied work with good development opportunities. If you are interested in free and varied work with the patient where your and your colleagues' work environment is in focus, this job is for you.

You will have allocated time to participate in the seminars offered or time for your own studies, and you will also participate in the health centre's and the doctor group's meetings. Your individual study plan is drawn up together with your supervisor and study director.

About You

You are a licensed physician with permission to work within Swedish healthcare. You have a great interest in the field of general medicine. Language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale are a requirement for the position.

We are looking for someone who is receptive and has a good approach, as you meet many different patients at the health centre in your work. You work independently and are confident in making your own decisions, while contributing with commitment and initiative to the development of the operations. You enjoy teamwork and cooperate readily with colleagues and partners to jointly create a care environment characterized by quality, trust, and consideration. For those who have trained as a doctor abroad and have not completed the Swedish internship (AT) to obtain a medical license, you are subject to the new regulations regarding Basic Service (Bastjänstgöring) from July 1, 2021. Basic Service for Doctors (BT) is a mandatory introductory part of the specialization service in the new regulation ST-2021 (HSLF-FS 2021:8). This means you need to complete BT before or as an introductory part of your ST.
