About the Role

We are looking for a passionate textile arts teacher who wants to inspire our students to create, experiment, and develop their craft knowledge. In the workshop, students combine creativity with problem-solving, and we are looking for you who can make the subject both enjoyable and educational.

Collaboration and Language Development in Focus

At Norrbyskolan, we work purposefully to strengthen students' language skills in all contexts. As a textile arts teacher here, you play a key role in developing students' subject-specific vocabulary and their ability to instruct and evaluate their work processes.

We do not believe in working in isolation, but rather develop our teaching by sharing experiences and reflecting together with colleagues within and outside our own teams. Therefore, we are looking for a team player who sees collaboration as a natural part of the profession.

Your main responsibilities:

• Plan and lead teaching in textile arts for the lower and upper secondary school years.
• Work actively with language development by making concepts and work processes visible in the workshop.
• Inspire sustainable development through work with material knowledge and reuse.
• Create a safe and inspiring environment where every student dares to try and grow.

Your profile:

• You are a certified teacher in textile arts.
• You have a language-developing approach and can adapt your teaching to the needs of the student group.
• You are a humble team player who contributes joy and engagement to the staff group.
• You are good at building positive relationships with students and encouraging their joy of creation.
