ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Prototype Buyer, you will be part of a small team consisting of experienced colleagues with diverse backgrounds and areas of expertise. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing test and prototype materials for prototype and product builds. Furthermore, you will work operationally to manage the commercial interface with suppliers and actively work towards achieving cost and delivery targets. As a Prototype Buyer, you will have daily contact with project teams and designers to ensure that prototype materials for projects are delivered on time.

Examples of tasks include:

• Manage the procurement of test materials and prototype components.
• Procure test materials from the company's internal production units.
• Ensure that prototype orders are fulfilled regarding delivery dates through proactive follow-up.
• Update new delivery confirmations and comments, and ensure that key stakeholders are informed.
• Coordinate and book transportation as needed.
• Monitor delivery precision and set up action plans for underperforming suppliers.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO:

• Have a post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Economics, Procurement, or a similar field.
• Have basic technical knowledge and good system proficiency.
• Communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing, as these languages are used in daily work.

It is an advantage if you:

• Have previous experience in similar tasks.
• Have previous work experience from the technology or industrial sector.

We believe that to succeed in the role, you have a commercial and technical interest as well as a knack for relationships. You are driven, open to new ideas, and have good social skills. We are looking for someone who is accustomed to making contact and building networks, both internally and externally. It is also important to be a team player as there is close collaboration with many different internal functions such as other buyers, quality functions, planning, project managers, etc. To succeed in the position, there is a need for a willingness to solve problems and work proactively to identify and implement continuous improvements together with your colleagues.

ABOUT THE EMPLOYMENT:

This is a consulting assignment, which means that initially, you will be employed by Friday.
