ABOUT THE ROLE:

In this role, you work through the entire project chain and have an active part in how the solutions are actually built. You help translate needs into functioning automation solutions – from the first idea to a fully commissioned facility. The work often starts with a dialogue regarding function and setup, where you, together with the team, help shape the solution. After that, you take over in programming and system construction, where you develop logic, functions, and structure in PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems.

An important part of the role is the connection between software and hardware. Since the systems are built and tested internally, you have the opportunity to verify your solutions early on, adjust and optimize before they are put into operation. When the systems are to be commissioned, you are involved in the startup process. You work practically to get everything to function on site – testing signals, tuning functions, and ensuring that the facility meets the requirements in a real environment.

You work on projects of varying sizes, which means that sometimes you handle several parts in parallel and other times you go deeper into specific functions. Technically, this mainly involves PLC programming in environments such as Siemens and Schneider, with a large part of the work done in Codesys. The projects are primarily within water treatment, purification, and industry, but special solutions also occur – which means you are continuously faced with new technical challenges.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO HAVE:

• Post-secondary education in automation or electrical engineering, or equivalent
• Knowledge of PLC programming
• A technical interest and a desire to understand the big picture
• Good knowledge of English
• Valid driver's license (Category B)

Not required, but advantageous if you have:

• Experience with Siemens, Schneider, Codesys, etc.
• Experience working in industry, water/wastewater (VA), or hydraulics

You can be at the beginning of your career or have a few years of experience – the important thing is that you want to develop and take responsibility as you grow into the role. As a person, you are curious and solution-oriented. You enjoy collaborating but can also work independently when needed. You like variety in your work and are motivated by seeing the results of what you build – not just in code, but in real facilities.

You have a humble attitude, contribute to a good atmosphere in the team, and have a natural desire to do a good job – both for colleagues and customers.

ABOUT THE EMPLOYMENT:

This is a consulting assignment, which means that initially, you will be employed by Friday. The ambition from both the client's and our side is that you will eventually become a direct employee of the client.
