About the school

Metapontum is an independent school (grades F–9) with approximately 570 students. The school has profiles in music and mathematics and also offers a nationally recruiting advanced training program in mathematics for grades 7–9. The school is located in a beautiful cultural center in the middle of Långbro Park in Älvsjö. About the job

For the autumn term 2026, we are looking for a substitute music teacher for teaching in grades 4–6 as well as elective music 1–9. The position is 80% full-time, distributed over 5 days per week during the period 10/8–26 to 18/12–26.

We are looking for you with the qualifications to teach music. We want you to have good collaboration skills, be easy to build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues, and include students in the subject in an enthusiastic and inspiring way. You play an important role in the content and execution of our joint events together with our other music teachers.

We also see that you are a pedagogical and clear leader who can structure and plan your work in an effective way. You are engaged, flexible, and proactive. We assume that your goal is to create a developing, positive, and safe learning environment for your students. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

• Teacher certification with qualification to teach music.

Merits

• Work experience as a music teacher in primary school.
• Experience working with SchoolSoft and Google Workspace for Education.

Other

We apply individual salary setting. Start date 10/8–26. We have a collective agreement with Almega Education and offer a fitness allowance. Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis, and the position may be filled before the application period ends.
