About the Role

As a locomotive technician at Nordic Re-Finance, you will become a central part of our team. Your role involves both maintenance and troubleshooting of our railway vehicles, working both in the field and in our workshop facilities. Together with the operations management and colleagues, you will plan tasks on a weekly basis, allowing you to use your technical expertise to keep our fleet in top condition. You will also travel within Scandinavia, giving you the opportunity to see different parts of the region while contributing to the optimal functioning of our vehicles.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a passion for technology and a solution-oriented mindset. To succeed in the role of locomotive technician, we see that you have the following qualifications:

• Good understanding of electronics, mechanics, and pneumatics.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.
• Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written.
• B-driver's license, as the position requires travel.

Experience with railway vehicles or work in similar sectors is considered an asset. We also value flexibility and the ability to build relationships, as teamwork is an important part of our operations.

Responsibilities

Your tasks as a locomotive technician will be varied and challenging. You will:

• Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure vehicle operation.
• Provide technical support and advice to train drivers and workshops.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems on vehicles, both independently and in collaboration with others.
• Work with our fleet management system, Railkeep, to document and follow up on maintenance work.
• Travel to various locations within Scandinavia to maintain and service our vehicles.
