The Department of Care and Elderly Care is responsible for the municipality's elderly and disability care, home healthcare, and catering services. The department employs over 1,000 staff members. The largest group consists of care personnel such as assistant nurses, personal assistants, nurses, and cooks. However, there are also many other professions within our operations. About the job

As a summer substitute, you will work within care and elderly care as a care assistant, assistant nurse, or personal assistant, depending on the operation and your qualifications. The work involves providing support and care in a respectful, professional, and individualized manner based on the user's needs.

Duties may include personal care, support during meals, serving food and drinks according to the user's preferences, social support, and practical tasks in daily care. For some assignments, health and medical care tasks may also occur, depending on delegation and competence.

Personal care may involve help with hygiene, showering, toilet visits, and changing incontinence products. The work involves caring for both female and male users.

Working hours may be scheduled during the day, evening, weekend, or night. The work is carried out in close collaboration with colleagues and users and can be physically demanding. To perform the job as an hourly substitute, you need to feel confident in performing all tasks included in the current role within care and elderly care.

Terms of employment

We offer hourly and holiday temporary positions with intermittent employment. The position starts upon agreement. Salary is set according to current salary boxes and based on education, experience, and competence. We have the possibility to guarantee at least 75% employment, with the possibility of more work during the summer.

Requirements

To work with us, you must meet the following requirements. No specific education is required – we place great emphasis on your engagement and your desire to make a difference.

We are looking for you who

• Are at least 18 years old.
• Master Swedish in speech and writing so that you can communicate with users, relatives, and colleagues and document according to operational requirements
• Have good computer and mobile skills as we use digital tools in daily work
• Can perform all tasks included in the current role within care and elderly care based on the user's needs and conditions.

Personal qualities

To thrive in the role, you need to be responsible and have a respectful attitude when meeting users, relatives, and colleagues. You have good teamwork skills, can work independently, and are sensitive to others' needs. You are flexible and have the ability to handle a job where conditions and pace may vary.

Operation-specific requirements

• BankID (required for personal assistance)
• Category B driver's license (required within home care services and some other operations where work takes place throughout the municipality)

Merits

• Education in care, elderly care, child and youth care, or other equivalent education/experience
• Previous experience in care work, elderly care, or work with people with special needs
• Experience with health and medical care tasks, for example through delegation

Other

For work with children and young people, an extract from the criminal record register is required according to Section 9. An extract will be requested if employment becomes relevant.
