Our 1,800 employees work with primary care and health services in Uppsala County. We offer a wide range of services within first-line healthcare. Our patients meet us at Region Uppsala's own health centres or within habilitation services, and we provide telephone advice via 1177. Education, research, and development are important to us as we tailor our services to the needs of the residents. We already offer mobile teams, video visits, and smart e-services.

We are looking for you, a nurse who wants stimulating and meaningful work where you can develop together with competent and helpful colleagues. We offer a fixed-term position from August 2026 to December 2027.

Your Role

You will work with standard duties as a nurse at the health centre. This involves telephone advice, 1177.se, staffing for on-call duties, and booked patient visits. We work based on clinical guidelines and collaborate with other professions at the health centre. The care and health services provided are patient-focused.

Your Competence

We are looking for you who are a trained nurse. Experience in telephone triage and primary care is an advantage. You need to have a flexible working style, possess good collaboration skills, and have the ability to see development opportunities. Understanding the importance of good cooperation among all employees at the health centre is fundamental.

Our Operations

Knivsta Health Centre is within walking distance from Knivsta Station, with good train connections to both Uppsala and Stockholm. Knivsta Municipality is growing rapidly, and one-third of the population are children and young people, which is also reflected at the health centre. We have nearly 12,200 registered patients and about 50 employees. All professional areas are represented here, and together we offer all services within the health centre's mandate. We also have a youth clinic.

All professions are represented at the health centre, including physiotherapists, counsellors, psychologists, dietitians, district nurses, asthma nurses, diabetes nurses, and palliative care nurses. Therefore, we have great opportunities for multiprofessional team work with various patient education groups, such as COPD and pain groups where we utilize our gym. The operations include: reception services, maternal and child health care, youth clinic, and elderly care.
